Providing Loving Service

My tiney home nursery is focused on providing children with the very best possible care.
Children are welcome to our diverse, and enabling day care where they can learn through play, become independent, and flourish in a safe environment.
We embrace and follow their journey with the EYFS statutory framework for their learning and development requirements. Which prepares your child for their paths ahead.
To work closely in partnership with our parents. Allow children to explore the outdoors and our diverse cultural community where we live. To be a sustainable practice which teaches us all to make better choices for the world we share.
Hi there,
welcome to my tiney home nursery called Precious Little Souls. Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I am a vegan and have been for several years now, so the children get to experience eating some of our plant based meals. I meditate often to keep myself grounded and calm. I love reading, collecting crystals and being creative is a passion which reflects in my setting. I run arts & craft sessions on Saturdays during the summer for older children. I am 56 years young a mother of four grown up children and a 12 year old, with eight grandchildren would you believe, I guess they keep me young lol. My authentic knowledge and experience comes from raising my children, but it didn't stop there.
I've always found children's worlds so magical and carefree, so what better profession to enter where you get to play and have fun all day.
This is my second time around I was a childminder well over ten years ago before my last child was born. I missed it so much I decided to return.
I have an NVQ level 3 qualification in childcare along with a Child Practitioners Diploma with Distinction, I have a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate which I refresh yearly. I have passed courses and been awarded certificates in Child Protection & Safeguarding, and Food Hygiene to mention a few. I am registered with OFSTED through a brilliant childminding agency called tiney, who makes sure all their childminders stay current and up to date with knowledge in the childcare sector with our CPD (Continuing Professional Development). My Local Authority Brent supports me also, so I get the best of both worlds.
Since loosing our beloved rabbit one Christmas we finally have a new pet cat called Skylar. I think all children should experience pets as it shows them how to care for animals and brings out their gentle side. Petting a cat in particular is not only therapeutic for the cat but for the children too.
Precious Little Souls prides itself in Providing Loving Service where children can learn through play in a happy and safe enabling environment. I hope when you navigate your way around my website you get lots more information along with the feel of my personality, my passions, and what drives me to participate in your children's lives.
When you join our setting parents will be invited to download the tiney app. We use the app daily for numerous things, for example daily register to log children in and out, observations of the children which parents can see and follow, it's also a way of keeping in touch sending messages, and paying for your child's fees just to name a few.
Additionally I do newsletters so parents know what we have planned for that term/season ahead.
Newsletters are also available for online visitors to have a look by clicking on the MORE drop down box at the top of our HOME page.
The children get a chance to experience the community and all it has to offer with its vast culture.
Trips are made based around what the children learn, to extend it by giving them real life experiences.
Summer camp is usually for two weeks out of the holidays. It's pre-planned so the children get to do something different every day. Parents have had wonderful things to say, as their children go home talking non-stop about how much fun they had.

Two year old checks are compulsory, and over time I will get to know your children better by continual observations and assessments. This will build a picture of how your children are progressing and developing. The checks are done for us to highlight any delayed development or concerns, which we can discuss and find solutions to. The checks are usually done between 24 - 36 months old, and as their key person I will observe how your child plays on their own, interacts with their peers, including myself. I will note how they share and take turns, listen to their coversations also record their physical and personal development. Parents will receive a copy of the report once it's completed, and parents meetings will be organised to have discussions. Working in partnership with our parents is very important to us.
As parents you are the ones that know your children best, what we always want to know is 'What are your child's interests'? Because that's the best place to start and build on. We can expand and grow that interest further to incorporate all the areas of learning like a tree with many branches. We have a curriculum unique to our setting based on the toys and resources we offer which aids and covers the seven areas of learning. Our aim is to get children school ready by the time they leave us. My Pedagogy (method of teaching ) is based around Montessori / Kindergarten which is heavily child centred. This means children are free to choose what they want to do and how they play. This enables them free reign to explore before they need my attention or intervention. This method allows children to think critically, express their creativity and build character by collaborating with their peers whilst building friendships and mastering communication skills. It also allows them to challenge themselves by practicing activities repeatedly until the outcome is achieved. By modelling, exploring, questioning and being curious as they engage.
Parents of all children photographed gave permission for the use of their images on our site.
This place is nothing like it anywhere else!! Mums if you are looking for a childminder that offers a fantastic environment! this is the right place for your child!
A clean and well-maintained space is essential for children's safety and health. With a qualified teacher who focuses on education. Your child is being engaged in meaningful activities that promote learning and development. Miss Ama she's great at what she does!
Having access to nutritious food is also a significent benefit, as it supports children's growth and well-being. The teacher actually cooks meals for the children every day.
I just wanted to share my experience and hope I can be helpful for others considering similar options!
Keep going You are brilliant!
Junaid has been attending Precious Little Souls nursery for a year now. He absolutely loves it and looks forward to every day there. As a parent, I appreciate the warm, home-like setting - it really adds that extra special touch. Each child receives the attention they truly deserve, and I love that!
I also love the approach Shukura has taken with the style of learning it's so natural. I've seen so much growth in my son and the support he's receiving is amazing.
The effort, care and attention to detail provided is impressive, and you can really tell Shukura is passionate and dedicated to children's development.
I plan on bringing all my future children to this nursery and can't recommend it enough to the locals. xx
Shukura is a caring, compassionate and an appreciated person who ensures her pupils needs and development are catered to. Her values are embodied in the day to day work she carries out.
My daughter is always keen to attend, and Shukura always supports my daughter to be her free spirited self.
The summer club was a clear testament to Precious Little Souls being highly regarded!
He likes playing with cars, so we build by introducing him to other types of vehicles of the same colours and add sand to the activity. Now he can make marks in the sand using the vehicles, grouping all the same colours together, gripping smaller objects helps fine motor skills so he can grip a pencil for instance, and mark making helps later with writing.
