Children and parents are greeted everyday with a warm smile. There is a coat and shoe rack for the little ones to access themselves. We have pictures of all the children who attend. It's lovely when they show their parents, 'look that's me.' It gives them a sense of belonging. There's also a board where their work is displayed and an information board for parents also.

Children are given their own colour coordinated plates etc, they can access water throughout the day via the fridge dispenser. Our aim is to make children as independent as possible. All safety appliances and equipment are in place throughout the setting. A first aid box, fire blanket, and fire extinguisher is kept in the kitchen.

The WC is used by the children only. There is a child seat under the lid for toilet training with a step for independent access, hand wash and individual flannels are provided everyday for extra hygiene purposes. Children are also given toothbrushes & toothpaste to brush after meals (as part of the oral health scheme) introduced into the EYFS.

This is where the magic happens, the children get to explore, be as messy and creative as they like with everything at their disposal on their level for easy access.

We have a great outdoor space the children spend hours out here running, jumping, climbing, sliding, and riding, fine tuning their gross motor skills balance, coordination, spatial awareness and muscle strength.

We have a lovely adorable female cat called Skylar. Sometimes she comes downstairs to say Meow to the children.

In the pond there's water, a pump that transports water around when you push and pull the handle. we put ducks, plastic bottles, a watering can to fill up and pour out. sometimes we fill the big bucket but it can be heavy to lift, but we try.

I love getting my hands dirty in the mud kitchen. I can play for hours, mixing pouring, sieving, scooping mud and putting it into all different containers. I get to make mud pies.

This is a great activity for balance as we climb the wall. Sometimes we stop to drive somewhere far, we beeb the horn to get cars to move out of our way.

Books are my favourite, I go through so many. Sometimes I see something I know, but I love looking at the pictures.

Our setting has lots of different toys to play with, we even have funny faces, sad faces, and happy faces. Sometimes we mimic in the mirror.

We learnt all about bees and why they are important, we got to wear bee head dress, play a game picking up bees with tongs and see if we can put them in a cup, and we actually tasted honey.

Every summer Miss gets baby caterpillars and we watch them grow big because they eat too much, the they turn into butterflies. It's sad to let them go, we watch them fly off we wave bye bye.

I use the different shapes to make a new shape with pretty colours all in a row.

I want to be like iron man when I grow up, to be big and strong. Iron man is big and strong he is my hero.

Playing with clay was strange it was hard to roll, so I just hitting it.
It felt wet on my finger, my hands got messy.

I got to make lava, I had to put glasses on to protect my eyes. Dinosaurs are my favourite, I have a hundred dinosaurs at home and I know all the name of all the dinosaurs.

I can write my name, count to 30, and trace over the alphabet, I am ready for school now.

Using sticks and real flowers we did a group activity. Do you like our tree?

The children celebrated Pancake Day by making their pancakes from scratch. They had them with one of their favourite fruits, strawberries
Yummy!

Every week we go to the children centre to play with other kids and toys we don't have in our setting

Fine motor skills activity can be very simple with dough, food colouring, fresh flower petals and tools

The children were learning about cold climates, and animals that live in the Arctic. Blocks of ice, water, blue and white paint were added. The children watched the ice melt and the water changed colour. great science activity too.

Oranges and Lemons.....
This activity was all about the sense of taste and smell. the children could choose the fruit they wanted to taste, squeeze and mix with food colouring to create different colours, and pour into different glass shaped bottles to drink.

We went on a teddy bear picnic. The children brought their teddy or their favourite toy along, teddies were snacking with us on that lovely hot sunny day too. They must have been so hot in their fur coats!

This was a trip to Willesden Library's Museum. We learnt loads of information about our local area past and present. The children got to make their mark on a wall of chalk boards in the shape of sign posts.

Hiya, just wanted to take time out to say a massive thank you for the past 2 weeks! I don't think I've seen the boys this excited every single morning of this week. They literally get up and are so excited and literally bouncing around until they get to you. You literally thought of each and everyday so carefully and precisely, and really went above and beyond for the children, and it really shows! From the fun packed daily activities, to the food they ate. And to make sure they are just well individually in general, isn't an easy task! but you made it happen, They had the best 2 weeks ever! This was definitely the highlight of their summer holidays. We can't wait until next year.
Chandini (parent)

This session the children used fuse beads to make their key rings.

This session the children got to experience painting by numbers.

This session the children got very creative tie-dying T.Shirts, which they are modelling in this picture with style.
An adventure to explore our local surroundings
The children are painting by numbers on canvas
This is one of her favourite activities. It's not just stacking cups, she's learning eye to hand coordination, using fine motor skills (fingers & hands), different colours. As she gets older she will know the names of the colours, know how many cups by being able to count them and more!
