Spring provides wonderful opportunities for engaging activities that focus on sensory exploration, nature-based learning, and creative play.
All activities we do with the children cover the 7 areas of learning which are:
Communication and Language - Help the development of children's attention, listening, understanding and speaking.
Personal, Social and Emotional - Helping children to build relationships, manage themselves, and self regulation.
Physical Development - Helping to develop gross motor skills for large movements like jumping and running. Fine motor skills picking up small objects and holding a pencil to make precise movements.
Literacy - Reading and Mark making to develop skills needed to form letters and express their thoughts.
Mathematics - Understanding numbers, shapes, space and measure.
Understanding the World - Guiding children to make sense of their physical world and community. learning about past, present, people, culture and communities.
Expressive Arts and Design - Explore and use a variety of media and materials eg. paint, clay, instruments, role play etc.
Scaffolding on last terms theme of Colours, Counting, Confidence.....
